The lavender festival<\/h2><\/div>\n[vc_column_text]The origins of the F\u00eates de la Lavande go back several decades. They emerged to celebrate this magical plant and the know-how of the local growers and artisans who make the most of it. Through these festivities, the cultivation of lavender and its importance in the daily lives of the people of Provence are highlighted, and they also become an opportunity to promote local agriculture and the traditions of this region of southern France. <\/p>\n

Every year, the Lavender Festival attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world to experience the enchanting atmosphere of this unique event. The festivities generally take place between June and August, when lavender is in bloom<\/a>. <\/p>\n

Among the most popular attractions are corsos with parades of beautifully decorated floats, where lavender flowers are used to create dazzling designs. These colorful floats parade through the village streets, accompanied by musicians and dancers in traditional costumes, offering spectators a memorable spectacle. <\/p>\n

Lavender markets are a holiday must. Visitors can purchase a variety of lavender products, including essential oils, soaps, scented candles, lavender sachets and even culinary products such as lavender honey. These handcrafted products reflect the love and respect that the region’s producers and artisans have for this precious flower. <\/p>\n

Educational and interactive activities are also on offer. Lavender harvesting demonstrations give visitors a better understanding of the steps involved in this traditional practice.
